The Wacom Bamboo (and perhaps any Wacom tablet in general) is seriously awesome, and comes at a very fair price (usually $60-$90). It provides endless ways to mess around in Photoshop and other similar applications. I usually use it for doodling and drawing biology diagrams, but of course, serious artists can use it for, you know,
actual drawing.
Windows 7 is seriously the best version of Windows since... well, ever. The release candidate seems to have no major compatability issues with any games or other applications that I've tried, and the interface is amazing, to say the least.
Left 4 Dead versus mode is NOT your run-of-the-mill multiplayer team game. It isn't Halo with zombies. More than just a game of FPS skill, it is a game of
psychological warfare inducing RAGE upon your opponents.
The Thermaltake Vi-on Enclosure is a very simple and compact device. It's plug-and-play, and works like any other USB device. It only fits 2.5" SATA hard drives, and while this make it considerably more portable, it does make it more expensive for the same amount of data storage. It features an incredibly sleek, mirror-like finish, and it is passively cooled by a metal grating that follows along the sides of the enclosure. This item is for anyone who needs data at a moment's notice.
The Cordless Rumblepad 2 is a great improvement over Logitech's previous gamepads. As the name states, it is both completely wireless, and features rumble. It comes with some great software that makes it completely customizable for just about any game, and since you can map the analog sticks to mouse movements, you might also use it as a handy HTPC remote. It makes a great addition to any gamer's accessory collection, especially those that enjoy fighting games, emulators, and console-to-PC ports. It can be found at most stores for about $40, and at that price, it's a pretty fair deal, being about $10 cheaper than most next-gen console controllers.
